About

The first time I put on a Martial Arts uniform I was only 3 years old.

From that moment, I immediately became absolutely obsessed with Taekwondo in particular, competing in and winning hundreds of tournaments including World and National Championships.

Fast forward almost 30 years and I've earned my 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, however, after 10 years of Tae Kwon Do my passion changed as I was introduced to other different, yet more realistic worlds of Martial Arts.

In the year 2000, I watched UFC 28 immediately glued to the TV, and from that point on I've watched almost every UFC event since.

I've watched the sport evolve from no uniforms, weight classes, or even gloves, to becoming a mainstream sport now being shown on ESPN.

The Birth of Martial Arts Insider

After years of hosting UFC events at my house for friends, some of my close friends who didn't follow MMA as closely, always came prepared with questions for me to be up-to-date for the fights.

Some of the Most Common Questions Included:

At first, I was honored that I was their trusted person to catch them up on all things related to MMA.

However, after answering the same questions over and over again (to different people), it quickly became tough to give them a complete answer while at the same time trying to watch the fights.

So, Martial Arts Insider was born.

Martial Arts Insider

When I would try to find the answer online to send it to my friends to save me some time, I couldn't find good enough articles that explained everything exactly how it happened.

Many articles just regurgitated what the others said and you could tell they were not written by someone who followed the sport closely.

On this site, you'll find the most reliable and up-to-date information regarding all Martial Arts, from someone who has been watching it and practicing it weekly for two decades.

The mission of the Martial Arts Insider site is to clearly explain every topic, and provide readers with the exact answers that they're looking for.
