Does Khamzat Chimaev Speak Swedish?
Khamzat Chimaev does speak Swedish fluently, and can even be seen answering interview questions with Swedish reporters below.
Although Chimaev was born in Russia, he would emigrate to Sweden at the age of 18, and participate in wrestling.
During his wrestling career, he would pile up 3 gold medals during the Swedish Nationals event.
Eventually he would transition to Mixed Martial Arts while remaining in Sweden.
In fact, Chimaev would train at the same gym as UFC contenders Alexander Gustafsson and Ilir Latifi.
Gustafsson would become one of Chimaev's biggest fans as he would constantly bring his name up to the media.
Once Chimaev entered the UFC and became a star, Gustafsson continued his praises and would even state that he has potential to become a UFC GOAT (Greatest of All Time).

Khamzat's English in particular has massively improved over the last year.
When he first entered the UFC, you could tell that he was uncomfortable with the language, and due to this would usually respond with "I'm going to smash everyone" when reporters would ask him questions.
A large reason why Khamzat's English has improved and due to his unexpected friendship with Darren Till.
Darren Till is an English UFC Fighter, with a very heavy Scouser accent.
The best part about Khamzat speaking English is that due to the amount of time spent hanging out with Darren Till, he has slowly developed a Scouser accent of his own.

Although he still maintains his own accent, he's absolutely beginning to sound similar to Till, as (intentionally or not) he has picked up on his mannerisms.
