Does Khamzat Chimaev Speak Swedish?
Khamzat Chimaev does speak Swedish fluently, and can even be seen answering interview questions with Swedish reporters below.
Although Chimaev was born in Russia, he would emigrate to Sweden at the age of 18, and participate in wrestling.
During his wrestling career, he would pile up 3 gold medals during the Swedish Nationals event.
Eventually he would transition to Mixed Martial Arts while remaining in Sweden.
In fact, Chimaev would train at the same gym as UFC contenders Alexander Gustafsson and Ilir Latifi.
Gustafsson would become one of Chimaev's biggest fans as he would constantly bring his name up to the media.
